3. Managing email accounts

You will need to access the adminstration section for your Business or Enterprise Email in order to manage email accounts.

Log into your client area at wpHost2go.com and select the relevant Business or Enterprise Email.

Then select how you want to manage the account in the left margin

In order to Suspend, Delete, Edit accounts, change passwords or set up admin forwarding, select MANAGE ACCOUNTS

Suspending an account

If you wish to temporarily block access to a particular email account, you can suspend the account. Suspension of an account

  • stops the user from logging into the account or accessing it through their email client
  • stops new email from being delivered to the account

How is this different from deleting the account?

The difference between suspension and deletion is that on deleting an email account, all email that is already delivered to the account will also be deleted. Suspending an account would not affect the emails that have already
been received before the suspension.

 

 

Deleting

If you do not wish to use an email account anymore, you can delete the account. Deletion of an email account would mean that

  • the user will not be able to access the account any more
  • all existing emails that have been sent to the account will be deleted

 

It is important to note that once you have deleted a user account, it can not be restored at all. If you wish to re-enable the user, you would have to create a new user account with that address.

Kindly make sure, that you have a taken a backup of the email account before you have deleted the email address.

 

 

Editing accounts:

Passwords

A user is able to change their password without admin help from within the Webmail Settings. The user can set the password to something that is easier to remember.

The administrator is able to change the password in one of two ways:-

A password change allows the administrator to change the password (which can be used to lock a user out of their account and hand control to the administrator).

A password reset will set a random password.

Changing email passwords

 

Admin mail Forwarders

You can set a forwarding address for a user account if required. By doing so, a copy of all emails sent to that user would be sent to the forwarding address you specify. An admin forward cannot be stopped by an ordinary user.

Note: A copy of the email will be stored under the users account as well.
