FAQs Your questions answered
Centos Web Panel (CWP) is a new low cost alternative to the better known and more expensive cPanel. Because it is cheaper, we are able to pass this saving on to you and so the prices for the hosting remain cheap, even after the initial period.
CWP has all the important features required for a control panel without all the complexity of a more expensive panel. The main features of CWP are:-
- Easy & intuitive layout
- Runs Apache & accepts .htaccess files
- Good File Manager with the ability to up/download files, and to compress (zip) and uncompress files
- Create MySQL database and use phpMyAdmin
- Create and restore backups
- Automatic free SSL certificate generation
- AntiVirus Scanner
- Create sub-domains
- Create & manage email accounts
- Email AutoRespoder
- RoundCube WebMail
- CronJobs creator
- Installers for WordPress, Joomla & Prestashop
- Create FTP accounts
- Select PHP version
- Adjust php.ini paramters
Yes! Our CWP Silver & Gold hosting plans allow you to host more than one Website, by adding secondary domains through your hosting control panel
The way that a web hosting server is set up to serve files is very different from the requirements of a podcast server. A web host delivers many small files very quickly and then moves on to the next clients on another website. Podcasting delivers very large files slowly,
It is possible, however, to store and use your CWP Hosting account to store and deliver podcasts, so long as they are referenced by, and relevant to, a website that is being hosted on the same account. This will work just fine for a small number of download, but will start to cause problems when the number of podcast downloads per month gets into the thousands.
So if you are creating a podcasting website and you don’t yet have a separate podcasting account, then yes, you can start with using your CWP Hosting account. But please bear in mind the following:-
1. Podcasts use a lot of bandwidth, so choose an unmetered plan
2. All stored podcasts must be relevant to the website in the account
3. Any copyright infringement can result in your account being suspended or terminated.
4. Once your podcast downloads are in the thousands per month, this will start to interfere with your web hosting and you will have to move the podcasts to a specialized podcast server.
Yes, all our Hosting packages come with Email Hosting. If you would prefer to use the more advanced OX Business, Enterprise or G Suite email packages, then please add these to your shopping cart.
You can upgrade or downgrade to other CWP plans easily through the client account control panel.
You can also upgrade to any of our other hosting plans. In this event please contact us for assistance.
Yes, your data is 100% safe. We make automated backups every day early in the morning and keep the following backups:
Daily: The last backup
Weekly: The last backup made on a Sunday morning
Monthly: The last backup made on the 1st of the month
We recommend that you make your own backup of the Home Directory and Database (using the backup facility in control panel) before making any major changes to the files of your website. If you also purchase our CodeGuard service, then you can have automatic backups stored for 90 days or more.
If you have installed WordPress (or another script such as Joomla) using Softaculous, then you can also set Softaculous to create automated backups for you. For example, Sofaculous can make a backup every day, keeping the last two days of backups.
Please note that with our slightly more expensive Xtreme WP Hosting, individual hosting accounts are backed up. Our Xtreme plans include a free ``restore from backup`` service that you can access directly from your cPanel.
Yes, all our servers are protected by Clam AV, a leading anti-virus scanner.
No. While the CWP Hosting package cannot be used for this purpose, we can supply you for a ``Reseller Hosting`` package. This would allow you to resell hosting packages and to give separate login details for hosting account of each website. Please contact us this product.
We recommend using the CWP SIlver or Gold plans for creating a new eCommerce website. WooCommerce (& all other eCommerce websites) will place a heavy load on the server in proportion to the number of people who are simultaneously shopping and editing products. This is because each logged in user will be seeing unique content (unique shopping carts, tailored special offers, shipping info, etc), and so it is not possible for pages to be cached in the same way as for a normal WordPress site.
CWP Hosting will be fine with a peak load of a handful people simultaneously using WooCommerce. However, if you are expecting heavier use that this, or you will have multiple staff logged into your online shop, then our Xtreme or Cloud Hosting products would be more suitable. Please feel free to contact us for advice.
The 14-day trial is a good way to see if you like using the CWP control panel, at no financial risk to yourself. We ask you to register and pay 1€/£1/$1 in order to prevent the trial being abused.
You do not need to buy a domain name as we l supply you with a name as a sub domain of ``wphost.club``. The bandwidth (data transfer) and email capabilities are restricted as this is only supposed to be used as a trial.
At any time with 30 days from the start of the trial, you can cancel for a full refund to ask for an upgrade to any of our hosting products.
