Premium Hosting Features
SSD Disks
SSD disks are about 800% faster than normal hard disks. Of course, the disks are not the only components in a server, but when combined with Cloud Linux, one should normally find that in a CMS application like WordPress, there is a increase in page loading speed of around 300%, and this is before any caching is used.
There is also an improvement in reliability, as SSD disks do not contain moving parts.
Our Premium WP Hosting plans use 100% SSD disks for maximum speed improvement.

The Private plan allows 1GB allocation, whilst our Professional and Business plan has 2GB and the eCommerce plan has 3GB.
xVarnish with CacheWall
xVarnish (soon to be renamed CacheWall) is the uprated version of Varnish and is included as standard on our Professional, Business and eCommerce Plans. Speed improvement of greater than 100X have often been reported for WordPress sites when used on server that are set up with Varnish. This x-version also allows cache of pages secured with SSL certificates.
The caching works by treating each element on the page separately, rather than the page as a whole. This way, content that should not be cached can be combined with cached contents on the same page.
There is a control in the cPanel that allows you to turn xVarnish off or on. There is also a button to flush the cache. The final control is a developer button… When a developer is making changes to the website, it is often useful to turn the Caching off. This developer button turns the caching off for 6 hours and then it automatically goes back on again. Yes! We realize that developers sometimes have bad memories!
PHP-FPM
eCommerce web sites often include content that cannot be cached. e.g. different customers will have different contents in their shopping carts, and delivery addresses will not be the same for different people. This gives the server a lot of extra work, especially at busy times with many customers.
Our Business and eCommerce plans include PHP-FPM with private resources. Normally, when a customer looks at a product or adds an item to the cart, a new PHP process will start when the customer clicks the appropriate button. This will allocate memory for the process load the necessary code and when finished the process will be closed and the memory released. With PHP-FPM, a couple of spare memory spaces are already created and processor threads waiting for the next process; and when finished, the process will be kept alive in the memory for a couple of minutes should the customer look at another item or ad something else to the cart. That way the process can be handled instantly without keeping the customer waiting. PHP-FPM uses more resources on the server, but gives you website that critical “punch” so that it is always ready to perform.

cPanel is the World’s favourite control panel. It is also the most expensive panel for us to license on your behalf. We supply it free to you with you hosting. Its main advantages are:

PHP Versions
You can choose from a selection of PHP versions, direct from the cPanel. For developers, this allows you to test your code with multiple PHP versions in a matter of minutes. For end users, this allows you to select the optimum version for the application that you are using.
Currently we offer the following “hardened” PHP versions: 5.5, 5.6 and soon 7.0 & 7.1. Soon we will be adding 7.2.
The Version can be set directly from the cPanel, where you can also select additional PHP libraries to install.
WordPress Manager
The WordPress Manager can be found in our cPanel. This allows for easy one-click installation of WordPress, and can also be configured to automatically install WordPress updates when they become available.
The update process can be set to allow all updates (major and minor releases) or just minor updates to be automatic.
Free Backups
We all hope that we won’t need backups, but eventually something will happen and you will wish that you could restore the website back to a recent version.
All our Premium plans include at the minimum: 2 x daily, 1 weekly & 1 monthly automatic backups.
Our Professional plan keeps 7 days of backup, whilst our Business plan takes backups every 6 hours.
The eCommerce plan takes automated backups every hour and keeps 24 hourly backups, 14 daily, and a monthly backup.
The Professional, Business and eCommerce plans also allow you to take up to 2 snapshots of all web files and databases. These are stored for two days and are a great way to secure a snapshot of your web hosting account before making some big change.

Hacker Security
Our servers have Firewalls in place to help minimize the risk from relentless hacking attacks.
All accounts have ModSecurity which looks for attempts to compromise website through SQL injection. ModSecurity will block such attempts.
ModSecurity is activated for all accounts by default but can be turned off in the cPanel.
Virus Scanning
All cPanel accounts also have the ClamXav Virus Scanner that can scan files for infection. All incoming emails are also scanned for viruses.
CacheWall is included with our Professional, Business & eCommerce plans. This assists by not allowing IP addresses that are known for hacking or for comment spamming to connect to your website. “Log in” pages and certain other pages are also protected from multiple login attempts.
Spam protection
Our email systems use the new DKIM and SPF systems in assisting email servers to verify messages are unmodified and are from the sender from whom they claim to be, thus helping to avoid spam.
All cPanel email accounts can be configured with Apache SpamAssassin™. This allows you to configure a spam inbox and to adjust the severity with with emails are judged for spam.
BoxTrapper™ is also available. This will quarantine emails received from people you have not received emails from before whilst sending a verification email to the sender to make sure that they are human and not a spam robot. When verified, the email will come into your inbox and future emails from this person will not be quarantined again. It is also possible to set up BoxTrapper and SpamAssassin together so that BoxTrapper will only kick in when the email is suspected of being spam.
E-commerce ready
All our Premium plans include a free “Comodo Positive” SSL certificate which is automatically installed onto the server for you. These are Domain-Validated (DV) certificates. There is a certificate for each domain used in the hosting package.
It is possible to upgrade the certificate to an Organization-Validated (OV) SSL certificate or an Extended-Validated (EV) SSL certificate. These more advanced certificates require the ownership of the your organization to be verified and so there is additional paperwork. The EV SSL certificate is the type of certificate that makes the customers address bar show your company name in green, giving the customer that extra feeling of security.

This is our entry level hosting package. It is aimed at small to medium sized WP sites with light to medium traffic. It is also suitable for WooCommerce sites that get occasional to light use.
Fast: The speed boost comes from using 100% Solid State Disks (SSD). These are really fast will make a normal WordPress site about 300% quicker than compared to conventional hard disk hosting.
Easy: WordPress can be installed by a single click, and there are automatic daily backups that the website owner can restore themselves through the cPanel. The SSL certificate is automatically installed onto the server.
Secure: There are 4 complete backups stored complete with databases: Daily for the last 2 days, a weekly and a monthly backup.
Affordable: This is our most affordable hosting package.
This package is for larger websites, sites with more traffic, or for those wanting even more speed. It is also suitable for WooCommerce sites with light to medium traffic. Comes with free SSL certificate for all domains.
Fast: Besides our SSD storage, this package also uses xVarnish/CacheWall for even greater performance under heavy browsing load whilst offering increased security. xVarnish/Cachewall works with both ordinary HTTP websites and also with SSL (HTTPS) websites.
Easy: As well as One Click WordPress installation, xVarnish/CacheWall has been pre-configured for WordPress. The only extra cPanel control is whether to switch the caching on or off.
Secure: ChacheWall automatically blocks the IP address of many known hacking bots and also limits the spam robots. Backup are daily with a whole week of backups available for restoring, plus a weekly and monthly backup. This package also give you the ability to create up to 2 snapshots of the hosting files and database (stored for 3 days) to which you can quickly restore. This is an ideal safety precaution for when you are updating WordPress or Plugins on a live site.
Affordable: For the little extra cost, the extra security and backups are a bargain. You also get more storage and the ability to add a second WP site.
Busy e-Commerce sites and multimedia sites present their own problems. Whilst caching can easily speed up sites that serve the same content to everyone, once a customer adds an item to a shopping cart or they login to their account, the information served becomes unique to them. Their shopping cart will not contain the same as other people carts, nor will their account page show the same delivery address that other accounts have. For a busy site this puts a lot more load on the server. Also when a product is added to a shopping cart there are many new processes that happen, such as checking stock, pricing, taxation and delivery. Comes with free SSL certificate for all domains.
Fast: Our e-Commerce packages use private PHP-FPM resource pools. Normally, when a server has to run a new script, it starts by reserving memory, then creates a CPU process that loads the necessary library files and then interprets the script and runs the code. This is memory and CPU efficient in that memory and CPU resources are only used time required for the script and then the process is stopped and the memory cleared and made available again. However, this is not time efficient for getting the script running.
Our e-Commerce packages use something called PHP-FPM resource pools. This always make sure that there are two spare processes already created and reserved for your account, and as these get used, a pool of new spare process get created ready for any sudden new requirements. And when a script has finished, the process stays live for a minute or two with all the code already in the memory, just in case it is needed again. (Another shop product being looked at or another item added to the cart.)
Normally a PHP server creates process to run a PHP script, when it is required, and shuts it down immediately afterwards. With FPM Pools, two new processes (with memory) are always running and reserved for your account, ready for instant use when needed, and when these start being used then new reserved processes are being created in your “pool” of processes for whatever might be required next.
PHP-FPM gives any site a lot more “kick” but is particularly noticeable with e-Commerce sites.
Easy: There is nothing extra that you have to do to use this extra hosting power. It is all automatic.
Secure: In addition to the benefits of CacheWall, the our WP e-Commerce package also makes an automatic backup every 6 hours (stored for 24 hours) in addition to the 7 daily , 1 weekly and monthly backup.

Backups are stored at a remote server center with additional copies of the last 2 daily backups stored locally. All backups can be fully or partially restored using the cPanel.
